What I ate Wednesday

IMG_0948

Hi guys! Today I’m gonna show you how I strive to eat. BUT as a disclaimer – I obviously don’t eat this every single day. I mix it up (or it would get pretty boring) and also I do eat some junk in my diet. It’s all about balance. I try to eat healthy most of the time to be happier, feel better, have more energy and have a great foundation for my skin, hair etc.

Breakfast

I like to start the morning with a glass of warm lemon water. There are SO many benefits from drinking lemon water – it’s unbelievable! Just to name a few: It reduces inflammation, keeps your skin blemish-free, gives you a boost of energy and much more! If you can – wait 15-30 minutes before you eat your breakfast and you’ll get the most out of the lemon water.

If you’re a vegetarian (I’m not) greek yoghurt is a great option to get protein which helps fight illness and do wonders for the skin. Wanna be smart? Greek yoghurt contains B12 vitamin necessary for the brain function. And lots of other benefits.

Kiwi and strawberries contains C-vitamin and are also great for the skin and immunity system. And do I even have to mention the benefits of chia seeds? They’re pretty much endless and they’re among one of the healthiest foods on Earth!

Lunch

For lunch I usually have a salad with kale, apple and beans. So this is where I have some veggies and kale is one of the most nutrient foods which is one of the reasons I like it so much. Do you want whiter teeth and decrease the risk of a lot of diseases? Eat some apples. If you have a hard time remembering things, beans can help you with that but also with lots of other stuff.

Afternoon snack

When I come home from school in the afternoon it’s the time of the day where I feel the most tired. So I need a pick-me-up. And I get that from this smoothie which contains frozen blueberries, ginger and greek yoghurt. It tastes really good and looks kinda pretty as well 😉

Dinner

I like to try new recipes (and I’m by no means a cook so I kinda need to ;)) and if you’re vegan or like me and just want to try to eat less dairy and meat, you have to try this out.

At evening time I like to watch some TV and I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like I HAVE to have a snack while watching TV. It’s like I can’t just sit there and watch it (even though I totally could but i don’t 0:)) Instead of reaching for candy, popcorn or something like that, I decided to make one of my favorite chocolate treats. AND if you want to make them yourself, I did a blogpost with the recipe. They’re fullyraw and delicious. You know sometimes you’ll have healthy candy or cake or something and it just tastes like..boring… Like by eating it you want real sweets even more. With these you don’t.

I hope you guys enjoyed this “what I ate Wednesday” and will try some of these foods out for yourself! Watch what’s in fridge and follow me on Bloglovin’ and be up-to-date with my blog!

Have an awesome day! (yes I watched “How I met your mother” yesterday…)
